\n\nMinimum Qualifications
\n\nEducation:
\n• High school diploma or equivalent.
\n• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.
\nAdditional minimum requirement(s) only for Hospital Outpatient Departments:
\nCertification(s): BLS (Basic Life Support)
\n \nPreferred Qualifications
\nEducation: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
\n\nExperience: One year of experience in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.
\n\nAdditional preferred requirement(s) for non-HOD Clinics:
\nCertification(s): BLS (Basic Life Support)
\nSkills, Knowledge, Abilities:
\n• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
\n• Proficiency with EHR systems and clinical documentation.
\n• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment.
\n• Knowledge of common outpatient procedures and equipment.
\n• Commitment to patient-centered care and professional growth.
\n• Demonstrates knowledge of varying differences and behaviors among populations served.
\nWork Environment:
\n• Outpatient clinical setting with frequent patient interaction.
\n• Requires standing, walking, lifting, and use of clinical equipment.
\n• Potential exposure to infectious materials; PPE provided.
\nPhysical Requirements:
\n• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
\n• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
\n• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
