What You'll Do: As the Material Damage & Specialty Director you will direct the Property/Casualty Shared Services Material Damage staff responsible for auto, specialty vehicle, and related claims, including both non storm and storm operations. Other duties include: Establish and execute the material damage claims strategy, including service delivery, operational performance, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives that support client/member service, growth, loss ratio, and efficiency goals. Lead enterprise storm response for material damage claims, including planning, readiness, resource deployment, surge capacity, workflow prioritization, and consistent claim handling and customer communication during catastrophe events. Direct the activities of the specialty units within the claim department. Lead training development for claims handling, technical auto/specialty vehicle damage assessment, and catastrophe response processes. Develop and manage the material damage claims budget, including catastrophe-related expenditures. What It Takes to Join Our Team: College degree or equivalent plus ten years of relevant experience required. Five years management experience in underwriting, claims, or property and casualty insurance required. Demonstrated leadership, customer service, team orientation, and technical/business/industry regulations related skills required.
