\nBJC Outpatient Imaging is currently seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a Full-Time position at our brand-new outpatient imaging center in Sunset Hills, MO .
\n Position Status: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Location: Sunset Hills, St. Louis, MO
As an MRI Technologist, you will perform routine to advanced MRI examinations in a state-of-the-art outpatient imaging center while providing exceptional patient care. Working under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, you will utilize advanced MRI technology to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with physicians and the imaging team to deliver outstanding clinical care.
Key Responsibilities \n- \n
- Perform routine and complex MRI examinations following established imaging protocols. \n
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation. \n
- Review patient history, verify exam orders, and prepare patients for MRI procedures. \n
- Administer contrast media, perform venipuncture, and maintain IV access as appropriate. \n
- Ensure MRI safety by following established screening procedures and safety standards. \n
- Evaluate image quality and ensure accurate patient identification and documentation. \n
- Recognize and respond appropriately to MRI emergency situations, including quench procedures. \n
- Maintain equipment, quality assurance standards, and exam room readiness. \n
- Educate patients and collaborate with physicians and fellow team members to provide exceptional outpatient care. \n

Requirements \nEXPERIENCE :

- Up to 5 years experience as a MRI Technologist \n
EDUCATION :
\n- \n
- Must have a minimum Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program. \n
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
\nMust be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography, or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMIT) and maintain current valid registration from ARRT or ARMIT. MR advanced registration through ARRT or ARMIT is required upon hire for IDTF centers. Non-IDTF centers require MR advanced registry within the first 12 months of employment. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice.
\nSKILLS/ABILITIES :

- Knowledge of routine to complex MRI procedures and protocols. \n
- Skill in operation of MRI equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment. \n
- Ability to work independently and multitask. \n
- Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely. \n
- Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology. \n
- Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data. \n
