Academic, Academic General Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician (NTT)

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Womens Health invites applications for a Generalist in Obstetrics and Gynecology. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of 14 General OB/GYN Physicians, 3 Certified Nurse Midwives, and 3 Nurse Practitioners. The appointee will be an integral member of the department, contributing to its missions in clinical care, education, research, and community engagement, and working to integrate departmental activities with those of the School of Medicine and the broader MU Health Care system.

This position will be appointed at the Clinical Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor level (non-tenure clinical track), commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

\n
• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in both inpatient and outpatient settings at our Columbia and Jefferson City locations.
\n
• Participate in labor and delivery coverage, gynecologic surgery, and ambulatory womens health clinics.
\n
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and other learners in clinical and didactic settings.
\n
• Engage in scholarly activities, including quality improvement initiatives, educational innovation, or clinical research, with support and mentorship available within the department.
\n
• Contribute to departmental and institutional service activities, including committees and community outreach.
\n
• Collaborate with colleagues across five departmental divisions.
\n

Minimum Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.

• Board certification or board eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
\n
• Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Missouri.
\n
