Job Description: The Design Technician performs the tasks associated with preparing construction-ready design drawings for both developer/customer and construction personnel. The designs must comply with design, construction, and maintenance standards, as well as the current National Electrical Safety Code (NESC). The Design Technician is responsible for performing necessary pre-defined engineering calculations; for mapping and posting electrical facilities to the corporate Geographic Info System (GIS) system; securing municipal construction permits, tracking easement acquisition with the Land Department, ordering materials required for successful completion of job construction; and closing field installation records of distribution jobs. Schedule: M-F 6 AM or 630 AM start time Minimum 3 days in-office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) possibly more during training, on-site trainers dependent
