Our client is seeking an experienced Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of 5 years' PQE to join its well-established Agriculture & Rural Affairs team. The Role: You will manage a diverse and interesting caseload while acting as a trusted adviser to a broad range of rural clients, including farmers, landed estates, rural businesses, landowners and agricultural partnerships. Your work is likely to include: * Sales and acquisitions of farms, estates and agricultural land. * Agricultural and rural property transactions. * Farm business tenancies and Agricultural Holdings Act matters. * Easements, rights of way and boundary disputes. * Renewable energy projects, including solar, battery storage and wind developments. * Strategic land and development agreements. * Rural diversification projects. * Agricultural partnership agreements and succession planning. * Landlord and tenant matters. * Working closely with colleagues across Private Client, Commercial Property and Corporate teams to provide a seamless service to clients. * Developing and maintaining long-standing client relationships through networking and business development activities. About You: The successful candidate will have: * A minimum of 5 years' PQE as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive. * Previous experience advising on agricultural and rural affairs matters. * Strong technical knowledge with a commercial and pragmatic approach. * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. * The ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision. * A genuine interest in the rural sector and the challenges faced by farming and landowning clients. * A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for contributing to the continued success of the department.
