This is a good opportunity to have significant influence, working alongside an ambitious leadership team to establish a service built on quality rather than profit.The RoleAs Responsible Individual, you will provide strategic leadership and governance across the service, ensuring the home is fully compliant with Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, the Quality Standards, and Ofsted expectations.Working closely with the Registered Manager and Directors, you will provide support, guidance and constructive challenge while helping to establish a culture of excellence, accountability and continuous improvement.Your responsibilities will include:Providing strategic oversight of the children's homeSupporting and mentoring the Registered ManagerEnsuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes legislationOverseeing safeguarding, governance and quality assurance processesReviewing audits, Regulation 44 reports and quality improvement plansMonitoring service performance and driving continuous improvementPreparing the service for Ofsted inspectionsActing as the primary liaison with Ofsted and external stakeholdersSupporting safer recruitment, workforce development and organisational growthPromoting a child-centred, trauma-informed culture where young people can thriveAbout YouWe're looking for an experienced Responsible Individual or senior children's residential leader who has:Significant experience within children's residential carePrevious experience as a Responsible Individual or senior operational leaderExcellent knowledge of Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Quality StandardsStrong understanding of Ofsted inspection frameworks and safeguarding legislationExperience supporting Registered Managers to achieve positive regulatory outcomesProven ability to develop high-performing, compliant servicesExcellent communication, leadership and relationship-building skillsFull UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel as requiredTPBN1_UKTJ
