Brand Marketing Director (12 Month FTC)

PVH (Tommy Hilfiger/Calvin Klein)
Greater London, ENG, GB Full Time

Job Description

\n About the Role\n

TALA, known for activewear that keeps up with busy lifestyles, has been on a rocket ship since its founding in 2019 by entrepreneur Grace Beverley. Powered by a highly engaged, largely organic social community, we've evolved into a digital‑first, multichannel women's athleisure brand with a sophisticated growth and retention engine. In 2025, we accelerated our physical retail expansion with the opening of two London stores, Carnaby Street and Westfield White City, marking a major step in our long‑term brand and community strategy. We are looking for a Brand Marketing Director (Mat Cover) for a 12-month FTC: a key player who can slot quickly into the senior leadership team and make an immediate impact. We are searching for a candidate who has extensive Brand Marketing and team management experience and who wants to work with one of the top-growing, social-first brands in the UK and beyond. This role is ideal for an in‑house brand superstar, or someone currently consulting / working fractionally. The Brand Marketing Director manages the Brand and Creative teams, including Brand Marketing team, Influencer & Events team, Organic Social & Content team, and Creative team, which includes Production, Art Direction, and Graphic Design. Confidence in the D2C and Social spaces is required, with omni‑channel experience a major plus.

Tasks\n
    \n
  • Lead brand marketing strategy across D2C, wholesale, and retail channels, with a primary focus on driving D2C growth and customer acquisition
  • \n
  • Sit on the senior leadership team, contributing to company‑wide strategy, planning cycles, and key business decisions alongside the CEO and functional leads

  • \n
  • Oversee an advanced influencer marketing programme
  • \n
  • Oversee all content rollouts, ensuring campaigns are planned, sequenced, and executed cohesively across channels and moments

  • \n
  • Drive brand elevation initiatives that shift perception, increase cultural relevance, and position the brand as a name people genuinely know and seek out
  • \n
  • Develop and maintain the brand's visual and tonal identity, ensuring consistency across every customer touchpoint - from social and editorial to packaging and retail environments

  • \n
  • Build and manage the marketing calendar, aligning product launches, campaigns, and cultural moments into a clear, proactive rollout plan
  • \n
  • Report directly to the CEO, providing regular strategic updates, clear visibility on priorities, and honest counsel on brand positioning and market opportunities, and support the Founder in all things brand
  • \n
  • Prepare and present board‑level reporting on brand performance, marketing investment, and progress against awareness and growth goals - translating marketing activity into business impact with clarity and confidence
  • \n
  • Manage senior stakeholders across the business, building strong relationships, aligning on shared objectives, and ensuring marketing is seen as a commercial driver, not a support function
  • \n
  • Define and report on brand marketing KPIs - including social growth, engagement, share of voice, influencer ROI, and brand awareness metrics
  • \n
  • Identify and act on emerging platform trends, cultural moments, and whitespace opportunities before they become mainstream
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • 12+ years of brand marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role - ideally within active‑wear, fashion, or a consumer lifestyle brand
  • \n
  • Experience operating at a senior leadership level, with the gravitas, commercial fluency, and communication skills to hold your own in the boardroom and influence at the highest level
  • \n
  • A natural collaborator who thrives working cross‑functionally, with a track record of building strong relationships across product, commercial, finance, and operations teams
  • \n
  • Deep, hands‑on expertise in organic social strategy - you understand the platforms, the algorithms, the culture, and what makes content actually travel
  • \n
  • Proven track record building and scaling influencer programmes, with experience managing diverse talent rosters and negotiating partnerships
  • \n
  • Demonstrated ability to take a brand from known to famous - you've done it before or been a critical part of the team that has
  • \n
