\n QED Legal's client is looking to appoint a Paralegal to join its growing Contentious Probate team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with litigation experience—or an interest in developing within this specialist area—to work on challenging inheritance disputes alongside experienced lawyers.\n

\n You'll become involved in a broad range of matters including Will challenges, Inheritance Act claims, executor and trustee disputes, estate administration disputes and proprietary estoppel claims, supporting fee earners throughout the litigation process while developing your own technical knowledge.\n

\n QED Legal's client is looking to appoint a Paralegal to join its growing Contentious Probate team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with litigation experience—or an interest in developing within this specialist area—to work on challenging inheritance disputes alongside experienced lawyers.\n
\n
\n You'll become involved in a broad range of matters including Will challenges, Inheritance Act claims, executor and trustee disputes, estate administration disputes and proprietary estoppel claims, supporting fee earners throughout the litigation process while developing your own technical knowledge.\n
\n
\n Your responsibilities will include:\n
- \n
- Drafting correspondence, Letters of Claim and Letters of Response. \n
- Preparing court documents, Caveats, Warnings and Larke v Nugus requests. \n
- Reviewing disclosure, medical records, financial documentation and Will files. \n
- Preparing hearing bundles and trial documentation. \n
- Undertaking legal research and preparing reports for fee earners. \n
- Liaising with clients, Counsel, the Courts and third parties. \n
- Assisting with new enquiries and supporting clients through sensitive and often emotionally challenging disputes. \n
- Progressing matters efficiently while maintaining excellent attention to detail. \n
- \n
- At least 12 months' experience working within a law firm. \n
- Previous experience as a Litigation Paralegal, Private Client Paralegal or Contentious Probate Paralegal would be advantageous. \n
- Exposure to civil litigation, inheritance disputes or estate administration would be beneficial. \n
- Excellent written communication and organisational skills. \n
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines. \n
- A professional, empathetic approach when dealing with clients. \n
- A genuine interest in building a long-term career within Contentious Probate and Inheritance Litigation. \n
