Head of Sales & Business Development

Head of Sales & Business Development Inspire Resourcing are recruiting a Head of Sales and Business Development, on behalf of our client based in Dinnington. Key Responsibilities: * Lead, mentor and develop a team of Area Sales Managers, creating a high-performing and collaborative sales culture. * Set sales objectives and monitor individual and team performance against agreed KPIs. * Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives. * Support the team with customer negotiations, commercial proposals and complex sales opportunities. * Identify opportunities to increase sales within existing accounts while supporting the generation of new business. * Analyse sales performance, forecasts and pipeline activity, providing regular reports to senior management. * Work closely with other departments to ensure customers receive an exceptional experience from enquiry through to delivery. * Review market trends, customer feedback and competitor activity to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. * Ensure CRM systems and sales reporting are maintained accurately and effectively. * Drive continuous improvement within the sales function through coaching, process development and performance management. Requirements * Previous experience managing a sales team within a manufacturing, engineering, technical or B2B environment. * A proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. * Strong leadership and people development skills. * Experience managing sales performance, forecasting and reporting. * Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills. * A strategic and commercially focused mindset. * Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. * Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office. * The confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels of the business.
