Job Description

Group Technical Reporting Accountant

\n

\n

Shape how a global consumer brand reports to the world

\n

A instantly recognised UK fashion brand seek a Group Technical Reporting Accountant to sit at the heart of its Group Finance team. This is a high-profile, high-impact role for an ACA or ACCA audit trained, qualified technical specialist who wants ownership, visibility with senior stakeholders, and the chance to raise the bar on how a listed group tells its financial story.

\n

You'll report to the Head of Group Reporting and work closely with talented people across the business — from Regional Finance teams to Investor Relations and the Audit Committee.

\n

What you'll do

\n

Reporting into the Head of Group Reporting, you will:

\n
    \n
  • Own the Group's external reporting process — delivering half-year and full-year consolidated financial statements and the Annual Report & Accounts, fully in line with IFRS.
  • \n
  • Lead technical accounting across complex areas including impairments, IFRS 16, IFRS 2, foreign currency and segmental reporting — preparing clear, credible papers for senior stakeholders, the Audit Committee and auditors.
  • \n
  • Manage the audit end-to-end — coordinating deliverables, resolving technical queries and ensuring timely statutory reporting.
  • \n
  • Drive reporting excellence — enhancing controls, automation and efficiency, and partnering with Regional Finance teams to secure high-quality, IFRS-compliant submissions.
  • \n
  • Support Investor Relations and strategic finance initiatives, while coaching and developing colleagues to strengthen capability across Group Reporting.
  • \n
\n

What we're looking for

\n
    \n
  • ACA/ACCA qualified with 1-2 years post-qualified experience gained in a large organisation — ideally listed group reporting and/or a Big 4 audit background.
  • \n
  • Deep IFRS expertise, including strong consolidation and disclosure knowledge and the ability to interpret and apply new standards.
  • \n
  • Strong audit and governance experience, including managing external audits and preparing technical papers for senior stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Proven leadership and influencing skills — able to coach others and partner effectively across global finance and non-finance teams.
  • \n
  • Highly analytical, with strong systems and data capability and a genuine continuous-improvement mindset.
  • \n
\n

What's in it for you

\n
    \n
  • Hybrid working
  • \n
  • Generous staff discount on products and accessories
  • \n
  • Share scheme
  • \n
  • Pension scheme
  • \n
  • Life assurance
  • \n
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • \n
  • Private healthcare
  • \n
  • 2 paid volunteer days per year
  • \n
  • A welcome gift on joining
