Technical Buyer

Technical BuyerLocation: OX10Hours: Monday to Friday | 08:00–16:30 | 40 Hours per weekWe are looking for a Technical Buyer to join a busy manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for the cost-effective purchasing of materials, components and services, ensuring the business has the right products, from the right suppliers, at the right time and cost.You will manage key suppliers across Engines & Mechanicals, Composites and Technical Components, working closely with internal teams to support production and project requirements.Key Responsibilities\n

• Place purchase orders accurately and on time to meet business requirements.
\n
• Ensure materials and components are delivered by the required dates.
\n
• Build strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
\n
• Resolve purchasing, delivery and supply issues.
\n
• Maintain accurate supplier and purchase order information on the ERP system.
\n
• Keep PO delivery dates up to date on SAP.
\n
• Work closely with internal teams to maintain continuity of supply.
\n
• Identify potential supply issues and support continuous improvement.
\n

Skills & Experience\n

\n
• Previous experience in Buying, Purchasing or Procurement, ideally within manufacturing or engineering.
\n
• Experience with mechanical products, composites or technical components is advantageous.
\n
• Experience using an ERP system, ideally SAP.
\n
• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
\n
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and technical data.
\n
• Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
\n
• Commercially aware, proactive and confident managing suppliers.
\n
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
\n
