Audit Senior

A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Portsmouth is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their growing team, offering flexible working, a company pension, and much more. The successful candidate will take ownership of a varied portfolio of audit assignments, leading fieldwork from planning through to completion and playing an active role in developing junior team members along the way.

What is the day-to-day of the role:

• Planning, executing, and finalising statutory audits across a range of sectors
\n
• Supervising and reviewing the work of junior audit staff on assignments
\n
• Liaising directly with clients to resolve audit queries efficiently
\n
• Preparing financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP
\n
• Identifying areas for process improvement and adding value for clients
\n

Required Skills and Qualifications:

\n
• Previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
\n
• ACA/ACCA qualified or finalist, with strong technical audit knowledge
\n
• Proven ability to manage multiple audit assignments simultaneously
\n
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
\n
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach to client work
\n
