Firm SJC Partners are working with a leading regional law firm that is looking to appoint a Commercial Property Solicitor to join its expanding Commercial Property team based in Birmingham. The firm is recognised for providing high-quality legal advice to businesses, investors, developers and commercial landlords across the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a growing department, handling a broad mix of quality commercial property work whilst benefiting from an established client base, excellent internal support and genuine opportunities for progression.Role The successful candidate will take responsibility for a varied portfolio of Commercial Property matters, advising a wide range of commercial clients on both day-to-day transactions and more complex property work. This role would suit a Commercial Property Solicitor, Associate or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) with around 1–4 years' PQE (or equivalent experience) who is confident managing their own caseload and is looking to further their career within a progressive regional firm. You'll enjoy a high level of autonomy while working closely with experienced colleagues, with opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships, develop new business and contribute to the continued success of the Commercial Property team.Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for:\n

  • Managing a diverse caseload of Commercial Property matters from instruction through to completion
  • \n
  • Advising on acquisitions and disposals of freehold and leasehold commercial premises
  • \n
  • Handling landlord and tenant work, including the negotiation and drafting of commercial leases
  • \n
  • Assisting clients with development projects, refinancing and secured lending transactions
  • \n
  • Preparing, reviewing and negotiating a range of legal documentation, including contracts, leases and reports on title
  • \n
  • Liaising with clients, lenders, surveyors, agents and other professionals throughout each transaction
  • \n
  • Maintaining high standards of client care while developing long-term commercial relationships
  • \n
  • Ensuring files are progressed efficiently and remain compliant with regulatory and internal procedures
  • \n
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues on larger or more complex matters where required
  • \n
  • Supporting networking initiatives and contributing to the continued growth of the Commercial Property department
