\nWe're seeking an ambitious and proactive EHS Officer to join a growing Environment, Health & Safety function within a leading manufacturing environment.
\nThis is a newly created role offering the opportunity to make a real impact across a busy site of approximately 200 employees. Working closely with senior HSE leadership, you'll play a key role in embedding a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance, and championing continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

\nWhat You'll Be Doing

- Supporting compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, policies and procedures. \n
- Conducting workplace inspections, audits, safety observations and risk assessments. \n
- Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented. \n
- Coordinating health and safety training, inductions and awareness initiatives. \n
- Maintaining EHS records, reports, compliance documentation and KPI data. \n
- Supporting emergency preparedness, occupational health and fire safety programmes. \n
- Monitoring contractor and employee compliance with safe systems of work. \n
- Promoting a positive, proactive and engaging safety culture across the site. \n
- Assisting with environmental and sustainability initiatives. \n
- Contributing to continuous improvement projects focused on health, safety and environmental performance. \n
About the Environment
\nYou'll be working within a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing facility operating 24/7, supporting approximately 200 employees.
\nKey operational areas include:

- Manufacturing machinery \n
- Spray shop operations \n
- X-ray inspection activities \n
- Pedestrian walkways \n
- Moving mechanical equipment and machinery \n
This is a highly visible role with a strong shop-floor presence, partnering closely with production, engineering and operational teams to ensure safety remains at the heart of everything they do.
\nWhat We're Looking For
\nEssential
\n- \n
- NEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH qualification or equivalent. \n
- Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment. \n
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and risk assessment processes. \n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. \n
- Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels. \n
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities. \n
Desirable
\n- \n
- Knowledge of ISO 14001. \n
- Knowledge of ISO 45001. \n
- Knowledge of ISO 50001. \n
- Experience supporting environmental compliance or sustainability programmes. \n
