\nThe team you will join
\nThe Risk & Compliance department identifies risks that Birketts LLP faces and advises on how to avoid or address them. It implements controls to protect the organisation from those risks. Compliance monitors and reports on the effectiveness of controls in the management of the organisations risk exposure. Complete client due diligence for on-boarding them to the firm.
\nThe work you will be doing

- Dealing with AML searches through an electronic provider \n
- Checking and logging of Money Laundering ID, referring to Risk & Compliance Officer where required. \n
- Chasing non-receipt of ID where required. \n
- Responding to general queries regarding the types of ID acceptable. \n
- Dealing with file transfers. \n
- Updating data on internal systems as required \n
- Issuing monthly print outs to fee earners. \n
- Undertaking tasks identified from print out reviews. \n
- Logging of internal audit file review reports and chasing corrective action. \n
- Make suggestions for improvement of effectiveness and efficiency. \n
- Generally support the department with ad hoc tasks. \n
- Responsible for ensuring own knowledge and training is kept up to date and requesting training when necessary. \n
- Assisting with Conveyancing Panel applications. \n
- Basic risk queries. \n

\nWhat we are looking for

- Knowledge/experience of anti-money laundering desirable \n
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of software (including Outlook, Excel & Word) \n
- Excellent keyboard skills \n
- Accuracy and attention to detail \n
- Highly analytical \n
- Self-motivated, ability to use initiative and provide pro-active support to fee earners \n
- Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels of seniority and liaise effectively with other internal departments and external contacts \n
- Team player \n
- Adaptable and flexible \n
- Good organisational abilities \n
- Confident with excellent communication skills. \n
Hybrid Working
\nBirketts is a flexible business which has embraced a hybrid working model where our colleagues enjoy a mix of home and office working. During your 3 month probation period, there will be a requirement to be in the office full time whilst you are developing in the role. Once you have successfully passed probation, this role attracts a split of 60% office days and 40% working from home days per week.
