Reed HR are working alongside a large Educational Establishment based in South West London who are recruiting for an experienced ER Manager.

\n

This is a short term position for initially 3 months and is also hybrid, so flexibility is offered.

\n

Job Summary

\n

In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining a harmonious workplace by addressing employee issues, ensuring compliance with UK employment laws, and implementing effective conflict resolution strategies.

\n

Duties & Responsibilities

\n

• Develop a strong partnering relationship with senior leaders and managers in designated areas of the business, acting as an internal consultant to identify, develop and implement effective HR strategies and people plans which support their business goals and drive sustained performance to meet Group aims.

\n

• Oversee and manage the end-to-end complex employee relation casework, including sickness absences, ill health retirement, performance management, disciplinaries, grievances and tribunal cases.

\n

• Work with senior academic managers and directors to identify gaps in performance and provide training and talent development to further the objectives of their department/ faculty and our wider business priorities.

\n

• Supporting Senior leaders and guide on the scoping and implementation of organisational restructures, providing challenge and insight to ensure alignment with the Group’s strategic direction and goals.

\n

• Support and develop business leaders in the identification of talent. Provide advice and guidance on action plans to support retention and development of high potential individuals. In conjunction with the business/faculties, develop robust succession plans with actions clearly identified and planned for.

\n

• Work closely with and support all team members and provide cover for the Head of Employee Relations as appropriate. To coach and train ER Officers and ER Advisors and members of the wider Human Resources team, in best practices to manage and ER cases.

\n

• Advise, guide and support staff and managers on all HR disciplines, policies and procedures to drive effective HR practices which are appropriate to College’s culture, and growth ambitions.

\n

• Oversee the induction programme and on-boarding of managers and professionals for your business areas, to enable them to perform effectively as quickly as possible.

\n

• Oversee, coach and support managers with performance management and provide guidance and oversight on complex employee relations casework as well as restructures and reorganisations.
