360 Material Handler Driver

Role: 360 Material Handler Driver

Location: Lewes, East Sussex

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm

Pay: £15.50 - £15.75 per hour + holiday pay

Contract: Temp to perm

Weekends: Flexible hours available giving days off during the week

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a 360 Material Handler Driver to join one of our longstanding clients, a busy facility, in Lewes.

This is a temporary to permanent opportunity suited to an experienced operator with strong health and safety awareness.

The Requirements:

\n
• Valid CPCS or NPORS certification for 360 Material Handler operations.
\n
• Previous experience operating wheeled 360 Material Handlers such as Fuchs, Liebherr or Sennebogen.
\n
• Previous experience within the metal recycling, waste management, ports or heavy industrial sector.
\n
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
\n
• Good mechanical awareness and confidence carrying out daily machine checks.
\n
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
\n
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a busy team.
\n

The Role:

\n
• Operating a wheeled 360 Material Handler (Fuchs, Liebherr or Sennebogen) to load, unload and move scrap metal around the site.
\n
• Loading trailers, containers and roll-on/roll-off skips.
\n
• Feeding the shredder and other processing equipment safely and efficiently.
\n
• Handling both ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
\n
• Organising and managing stockpiles across the yard.
\n
• Carrying out daily plant and machinery inspections and reporting any defects.
\n
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
\n
• Supporting other yard and operational duties as required.
\n
• Following all site health & safety and traffic management procedures.
\n
