Purchasing and Stock Controller

Location: Chesterfield Area

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

We're recruiting for a Purchasing Coordinator & Stock Controller to join a growing manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with purchasing and stock control experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and supporting the smooth running of operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Raising and managing purchase orders using Sage 200.
\n
• Monitoring supplier performance, deliveries and outstanding orders.
\n
• Managing stock levels and maintaining accurate stock records.
\n
• Coordinating supplier queries, returns and warranty claims.
\n
• Liaising with suppliers and internal departments to ensure material availability.
\n
• Producing reports on purchasing activity, supplier performance and stock.
\n
• Supporting cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
\n
• Occasional travel to other UK sites as required.
\n

Essential:

\n
• Previous experience in purchasing and stock control within a manufacturing environment.
\n
• Experience using Sage 200 or a similar ERP system.
\n
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
\n
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
\n
• Full UK driving licence.
\n

Desirable:

\n
• CIPS qualification (or working towards).
\n
• Experience purchasing steel, electrical components or engineering materials.
\n
