Are you an experienced Test Engineer, Validation Engineer or Test Rig Engineer with experience testing electric powertrain systems?Benefits & Key Information Include:£Open pay rate DOE (Outside IR35)Initial 3 - 6 month contract with strong potential for extensionWorking hours are Monday - Thursday 07:30am - 16:30pm / Friday 07:30am - 12:00pm.Based in Coventry, WarwickshireWork within one of the UK's leading automotive research and innovation environmentsThis is an exciting opportunity to join a highly innovative engineering team developing and validating next-generation electric propulsion technologies. Working within a world-class automotive R&D environment, you'll play a key role in delivering testing programmes for advanced inverter, e-Machine and power electronic systems.Role OverviewYou will prepare and execute test programmes, operate advanced test facilities, analyse performance data and support the development of electric vehicle powertrain technologies. Working closely with engineers, technicians and stakeholders, you will help ensure testing activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest technical standards.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute inverter and e-Machine development and validation testsOperate and support advanced dynamometer and test rig facilitiesDevelop test plans, automated scripts and technical reportsAnalyse test data and investigate technical issuesSupport installation and commissioning of units under testCoordinate testing activities with engineers and techniciansMaintain compliance with quality and health & safety standardsContribute to continuous improvement and facility development initiativesEssential ExperienceProven experience working as a Test Engineer ideally within an automotive test, rig or laboratory environmentKnowledge of power electronics, inverters and electric machine operationUnderstanding of test methodologies and data acquisition systemsAbility to interpret electrical schematics and technical drawingsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience using engineering and data analysis toolsKnowledge of health & safety, risk assessments and safe working practicesDesirable ExperienceExperience with AVL PUMA, ETAS INCA or Vector CAN toolsKnowledge of high-voltage or battery electric vehicle systemsDegree qualified in an Engineering disciplineIf you're looking for an opportunity to work at the forefront of automotive innovation and electrification, we'd love to hear from you.? ?G&P is a world-leading quality management services provider, supporting manufacturers in the automotive, defence, aerospace and industrial sectors, and their associated supply chains, to transform quality and efficiency levels.With over 30 years of experience, we provide tailored solutions through senior management support and expert personnel from our dedicated talent division.
