Vacancy: 2 Manufacturing EngineersLocation: Summerfield, Kidderminster, UKContract: PermanentReporting to: Production Engineering ManagerAbout the RoleWe are seeking talented and enthusiastic Manufacturing Engineers to join our Operations Team and contribute to the development and optimisation of current and future manufacturing capabilities within a high-precision, defence-focused manufacturing environment.As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will work closely with production teams to:Solve production challenges and bottlenecksImprove processes, methods, and tooling to optimise outputDeliver capital projects from concept to introductionDesign jigs, fixtures, test equipment, and tooling as requiredCreate and maintain standard operating procedures and process control documentsSupport quality assurance and safety complianceMonitor KPIs, identify cost reduction opportunities, and drive continuous improvementBe comfortable working in an environment with energetic/explosive materialsYou will play a pivotal role in enhancing shop floor safety, quality, productivity, and the successful introduction of new products.Candidate ProfileEssential Qualifications:HNC, HND, or higher in an Engineering discipline (or equivalent practical experience)Proven experience in a production manufacturing environmentEssential Experience:Manufacturing Engineering experience within a production environmentHands-on knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and techniques: value stream mapping, 6S, KanBan, Kaizen, MRL, PFMEA, SPCExperience in ISO 9001 environmentsStrong project delivery and problem-solving skillsProven track record of working within a strong health & safety cultureIT literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Outlook)Desirable Experience:EN9100, AS9100, ISO 14001, 18001Defence industry experienceKnowledge of quality tools and APQP methodologies (DoE, 8D, Control Plans, Capability Studies, Lean Sigma)Skills & Attributes:Analytical, proactive, and solution-orientedStrong communication and teamwork skillsCommitment to continuous improvement and process optimisationEssential Criteria:Successful candidate must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC)Why Join?This is a unique opportunity to develop your career in a highly technical, safety-critical environment within the defence sector.
