About the Role \nOur client is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior IT Support Engineer to join their growing IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within IT, gaining exposure to a broad range of technologies while supporting users across a fast-paced, international business.
\nWorking as part of a collaborative IT team, you'll provide first and second-line support, resolve technical issues, assist with hardware and software deployments, and help ensure users receive a high level of technical support.
Key Responsibilities \n- \n
- Provide first and second-line IT support to end users. \n
- Respond to and resolve IT incidents and service requests within agreed timescales. \n
- Install, configure and support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and peripheral equipment. \n
- Support Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments. \n
- Assist with user account administration and access requests. \n
- Provide remote support using remote access tools. \n
- Monitor and maintain IT equipment and ensure systems remain reliable. \n
- Escalate more complex technical issues to senior engineers where required. \n
- Maintain IT asset records and technical documentation. \n
- Assist with hardware rollouts, equipment refreshes and IT projects. \n
- Follow IT security policies and best practices. \n
- Liaise with third-party suppliers and vendors when necessary. \n

- Degree, apprenticeship or relevant qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline is desirable. \n
- Previous experience within an IT Support, Service Desk or Helpdesk role would be advantageous. \n
- Good knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11. \n
- Basic Active Directory administration. \n
- Experience supporting desktop and laptop hardware. \n
- Knowledge of printers and peripheral devices. \n
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs and wired/wireless connectivity. \n
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. \n
- Excellent communication and customer service skills. \n
- Well organised with the ability to prioritise workload. \n
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team. \n
