On of the UK's leading accountancy firms is seeking an Accounts or Finanacial Reporting Manager for their growing team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working on complex statutory reporting, managing client relationships and providing technical accounting support across a broad portfolio of medium and large businesses.

Working alongside Partners and Directors, you'll manage your own client portfolio while acting as a trusted adviser to clients across sectors including technology, consumer markets, financial services and private equity-backed businesses.

This is a varied role combining statutory reporting, technical accounting and client advisory work.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of Accounting & Financial Reporting clients.
\n
• Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements under IFRS, FRS 102 and FRS 101.
\n
• Providing technical accounting advice and supporting clients with complex financial reporting requirements.
\n
• Supporting clients throughout the year-end reporting process and working alongside audit teams.
\n
• Building strong client relationships and acting as their day-to-day technical contact.
\n
• Managing project budgets, work in progress and billing.
\n
• Coaching and developing junior team members.
\n
• Identifying opportunities to add value and supporting wider business development initiatives.
\n

You'll ideally be:

\n
• ACA or ACCA qualified.
\n
• A Manager (or Assistant Manager with portfolio and staff mgt experience) within an Accounting & Financial Reporting, Accounting Advisory or Financial Reporting team in practice.
\n
• Technically strong with an excellent understanding of IFRS, FRS 102, FRS 101 and UK Companies Act reporting requirements.
\n
• Comfortable managing a client portfolio and building long-term client relationships.
\n
• An effective communicator with experience coaching and developing junior colleagues.
\n

Experience gained within a technically focused Business Services team with significant exposure to statutory reporting and financial reporting standards will also be considered.

This team works with an impressive portfolio of middle-market and large private businesses, giving you exposure to technically interesting work and genuine client interaction.
