Job Title: Electrical Engineer – Pump Systems
\nLocation: Flexible / Field-Based
\nJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent
\nWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in submersible pump systems to join our engineering team. This is a hands-on role involving the installation, maintenance, fault finding, commissioning, and repair of electrical systems associated with submersible pumps across a range of industrial, water, wastewater, and commercial sites.
\nThe successful candidate will have excellent electrical fault-finding skills, experience working with three-phase equipment, and a solid understanding of pump control systems and automation.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Install, commission, maintain and repair submersible pump systems. \n
- Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults on pumping equipment. \n
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown work. \n
- Test, inspect and certify electrical installations in accordance with current regulations. \n
- Work on single-phase and three-phase electrical systems. \n
- Install and maintain motor control centres (MCCs), control panels and pump control equipment. \n
- Fault find on PLC-controlled systems and pump automation where applicable. \n
- Configure and commission variable speed drives (VSDs) and soft starters. \n
- Carry out motor replacements, alignment and commissioning. \n
- Perform electrical testing including insulation resistance, continuity and earth fault testing. \n
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings. \n
- Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately. \n
- Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures. \n
- Participate in emergency call-out rota where required. \n
Essential Skills & Experience

- Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer working on submersible pumps. \n
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills. \n
- Experience working with wastewater, sewage or clean water pumping systems \n
