Job Description

Are you an experienced Higher Education Administrator available to start work now. You will be supporting students with processes across the academic cycle, helping them with any queries and ensuring accurate and timely record management across multiple systems. First 8 weeks 100% office based, thereafter wfh 1 day a week 4 days on site.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to student enquiries (in person and via email) within agreed timeframes, escalating complex cases as needed.
  • \n
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of university services, policies, and key contacts to provide accurate information and referrals.
  • \n
  • Act as liaison between the Student Hub and specialist teams from across the University.
  • \n
  • Help ensure student-facing information on university websites is up-to-date, accessible, and effectively communicates key services, procedures, and academic support options.
  • \n
  • Monitor and report on common enquiries to improve digital tools, chatbots, and communications.
  • \n
  • Support the student lifecycle by using student records systems and virtual learning environments, ensuring data quality and resolving issues.

  • Ensure all work is carried out in a professional and timely manner, with appropriate confidentiality and sensitivity.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Experience of working in an education environment.
  • \n
  • Experience of meeting stakeholders' needs and expectations.
  • \n
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages and confidence in learning new packages and systems.
  • \n
  • Knowledge and understanding of core academic and administrative functions in higher education.
  • \n
  • Good communication skills and ability to draft accurate correspondence which concisely conveys complex information.
  • \n
  • Ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders in a professional and assured manner.
  • \n
  • Proactive with the ability to work independently as well as delivering within a team.
  • \n
  • Methodical, detail oriented and flexible in their approach to work, maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • \n
  • Comfortable with adapting to change, driving own professional development
  • \n
  • Good IT skills across Microsoft Office suite and a willingness to learn new packages as required.
