Practice Accountant Bookkeeper

The RoleYou'll manage your own portfolio of clients, providing accurate financial support and helping businesses make informed decisions. No two days are the same, giving you exposure to a variety of industries and a broad range of accounting responsibilities.Your duties will include:\n

• Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
\n
• Managing bookkeeping using cloud accounting software
\n
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
\n
• Assisting with management accounts and financial reporting
\n
• Preparing personal and corporation tax returns
\n
• Supporting clients with tax planning and compliance
\n
• Building strong relationships with clients and providing day-to-day advice
\n
• Ensuring financial records remain accurate and compliant with current legislation
\n

About YouWe're looking for someone who enjoys working with people just as much as numbers.You'll ideally have:\n

\n
• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
\n
• Strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge
\n
• Experience preparing accounts and VAT returns
\n
• Knowledge of UK tax and compliance
\n
• Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
\n
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
\n
• The ability to manage your own workload while working collaboratively within a team
\n
