\nOutline of role
\nWe are seeking an experienced PPM Project Manager to oversee the delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) contracts across a national portfolio of solar PV and renewable energy assets.
\nReporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring maintenance programmes are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with client expectations and industry compliance requirements. Working closely with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams, you will play a key role in maximising asset performance, maintaining strong customer relationships, and identifying opportunities for remedial works and future renewable energy projects.
\nMain responsibilities
\nManage the planning and delivery of national solar PV maintenance programmes.
\nCoordinate engineers and subcontractors across multiple locations.
\nEnsure achievement of contractual KPIs, SLAs, and compliance standards.
\nReview maintenance reports, inspection results, and performance data.
\nManage project budgets, costs, purchase orders, and supplier invoices.
\nPrepare quotations for remedial works and identify opportunities for additional business.
\nAct as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and performance reporting.
\nProduce KPI dashboards, compliance reports, financial forecasts, and programme updates.
\nEnsure all work complies with relevant health & safety, electrical, and industry regulations.
\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives, process efficiencies, and operational best practice.
\nProvide guidance and support to engineers and junior team members where required.
\nKnowledge and experience required
\nEssential
\nPrevious Project Management experience within Building Services, Electrical, Facilities Management, or Renewable Energy sectors.
\nExperience delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) contracts.
\nStrong client relationship management experience.
\nCommercial awareness with experience managing budgets and subcontractors.
\nGood understanding of electrical systems and relevant health & safety legislation.
\nExperience managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
\nDrone licence with the ability to operate and undertake site inspections.
\nDesirable
\nSolar PV maintenance experience.
\nKnowledge of battery storage systems and EV charging infrastructure.
\nExperience working within retail or national maintenance environments.
\nFamiliarity with CAFM systems, Power BI, and Microsoft Project.
\nUnderstanding of decarbonisation and sustainability programmes.
\nSkills required

\nCommercial and financial management skills.
\nAbility to analyse technical information and identify solutions.
\nEffective planning, scheduling, and resource management.
\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making capability.
\nProficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
\nCommitment to health & safety, quality, and customer service excellence
\nQualifications
\nEssential
\nHNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent industry experience.
\nFull UK Driving Licence.
\nValid Drone Licence and competency in drone operation.
\nDesirable
\nIOSH Managing Safely.
\nSMSTS or SSSTS.
\nPrince2 Practitioner or APM PMQ.
\nNEBOSH General Certificate.
\nBS7671 Awareness.
\nMCS Awareness.
\nSolar PV qualification (Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems, or equivalent).
