Sen Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Wolverhampton. This is a full time position starting in September 2026, with the opportunity to secure a permanent role for the right candidate. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the school's SEND team to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs. You will support children within the classroom, in small intervention groups, and on a one to one basis, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their individual targets. Key Responsibilities * Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs throughout the school day. * Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging, accessible, and inclusive learning activities. * Provide one to one and small group support to help pupils achieve their learning objectives. * Encourage positive behaviour, communication, confidence, and independence. * Adapt learning resources and activities to meet individual pupil needs. * Support pupils' emotional wellbeing and contribute to a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment. * Build positive relationships with teachers, parents, carers, and external professionals. * Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff where appropriate.
