Children’s Social Worker, Family Support Early Help Worker, Reading Pay rate £25 per hour Contract role, Early Help, Child In Need We are recruiting for experienced Children’s Social Worker in the Reading area. This to work as an Early Help Worker, and you will need experience of doing this role. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:\n

- Holding a caseload and acting as the Family help Lead Practitioner for families \n
- \n
- Overseeing and progressing outcome focused plans with the support of your social work qualified manager. \n
- \n
- Delivering direct work and evidence-based interventions with children, young people and parents \n
- \n
- Facilitating Child in need (CIN) meetings and supporting family led decision making \n
- \n
- Building strong, trusting relationships with families, including those who may be reluctant to engage \n
- \n
- Work closely with multi agency partners including schools, health services and social care \n
- \n
- Support social workers within the service to progress outcomes for children. \n
- \n
- Ensure the voice of the child is central to all plans and interventions \n
- \n
- Monitor and review progress to ensure positive, sustained outcomes \n
- \n
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to service performance and quality \n
- \n
- A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) and relevant parenting programme training \n
- \n
- Experience working with children, young people and families in a support setting \n
- \n
- Experience within a safeguarding and multi-agency environment \n
- \n
- Strong assessment, planning and organisational skills \n
- \n
- The ability to manage a caseload and prioritise effectively \n
- \n
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills \n
- \n
- Confidence delivering group work and structured interventions \n
- \n
- A resilient, solution-focused approach, particularly in challenging situations \n
- \n
- The ability to work collaboratively with partners and colleagues \n
- \n
