Conveyancing Paralegal
Job Description
Cardiff based
\n£ DOE
\n Build Your Conveyancing Career. Handle Your Own Files. Become a Fee Earner.\n\nWhat if your next move wasn't just another paralegal role, but the opportunity to genuinely progress your career?
\nWe're working with a highly respected regional law firm that's continuing to invest in its Residential Property team. With an established and successful conveyancing department in Cardiff, they're looking for a Conveyancing Paralegal with at least one year's residential conveyancing experience who wants more than simply supporting transactions—they're looking for someone with the ambition to develop into a fee-earning role.
\nWhether you're already managing a small caseload or you're an experienced conveyancing assistant ready for the next step, this is a firm that actively invests in developing its people rather than expecting them to stay in the same role indefinitely.
Why This Role Stands Out\nThis is an opportunity to join a supportive, collaborative property team where progression isn't just talked about—it's planned.
\nYou'll receive training and mentoring within a specialist New Build Conveyancing team, but you don't need any previous new build experience. If you have a solid grounding in residential conveyancing, the technical knowledge can be taught.
\nFor candidates joining as a Conveyancing Paralegal, there is a clear pathway towards managing your own files and progressing into a fee-earning position as your experience develops.
\n The Role\nYou'll support the Residential Property team with a varied caseload of conveyancing matters, specialising in new build purchases while receiving structured training from experienced colleagues.
\nDepending on your experience, you'll either:
\n- \n
- Manage your own residential conveyancing caseload with appropriate supervision, or \n
- Support experienced fee earners while building towards handling your own files. \n
You'll work closely with clients, developers, lenders and other solicitors to help ensure transactions progress smoothly from instruction through to completion.
\n About You\n- \n
- At least 1 year's experience working within residential conveyancing as a Legal Assistant, Conveyancing Assistant or Paralegal \n
- A good understanding of the residential conveyancing process \n
- Ideally some experience managing your own files, although this isn't essential \n
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail \n
- Confident communicating with clients and third parties \n
- Keen to develop your technical knowledge and progress your conveyancing career \n
- An interest in New Build conveyancing would be beneficial, but no previous experience is required as full training will be provided \n
Most importantly, you'll be someone who wants to learn, develop and build a long-term career in residential conveyancing within a supportive and progressive team.
The Package\n- \n
- £30,000–£40,000 depending on experience \n
- Genuine progression from Paralegal to Fee Earner \n
- Specialist training in New Build Conveyancing \n
- Hybrid working for experienced hires (typically three days in the office) \n
- Structured mentoring and long-term career development \n
- Join an established, supportive Residential Property team with opportunities to grow as the department continues to expand \n
- \n
- 25 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays \n
- Holiday bonus scheme with the opportunity to earn additional annual leave \n
- Pension scheme \n
- Medicash health plan \n
- Cycle to Work scheme \n
- Firm-funded eye tests \n
- Ongoing training and development \n
- Regular team social events and a collaborative working culture \n
If you're looking for a firm that will invest in your future, support your development and give you the opportunity to build your own conveyancing career, we'd love to tell you more.
