Financial Controller - Group
Job Description
Talent Finance are delighted to be working with a rapidly growing group of businesses in the heart of Bournemouth and Poole to recruit a Financial Controller.
\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful organisation with ambitious growth plans, an excellent reputation and a collaborative, forward thinking culture. Working closely with an experienced CFO, you’ll play a key role in shaping and developing the finance function, strengthening controls, leading a capable finance team and providing the commercial insight needed to support continued growth.
\nThis is a rare opportunity to build, influence and improve, rather than simply maintain. If you enjoy driving positive change, developing people and being part of a business where your ideas are genuinely valued, this could be exactly the opportunity you’ve been looking for.
\nThe Role
\nYou’ll take ownership of the day-to-day finance function whilst partnering with senior leadership to deliver meaningful financial insight across the business.
\nResponsibilities will include:
\n- \n
- Leading, mentoring and developing a finance team, creating a high performing and collaborative culture. \n
- Owning the month end process and delivering accurate, insightful management accounts. \n
- Driving improvements across financial controls, reporting and governance. \n
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and commercial decision making. \n
- Business partnering with operational leaders to improve financial understanding across the organisation. \n
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, reporting and finance processes as the business continues to scale. \n
- Managing external audit and statutory reporting requirements. \n
- Supporting the CFO on strategic projects and business improvement initiatives. \n
About You
\nWe’re looking for someone who combines strong technical finance expertise with commercial awareness and excellent leadership skills.
\nYou’ll ideally have:
\n- \n
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification. \n
- Experience as a Financial Controller or in a senior finance leadership position. \n
- A track record of improving finance functions, controls and reporting. \n
- Experience leading and developing finance teams. \n
- Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience. \n
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence senior leaders. \n
- A proactive approach with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement rather than simply maintaining the status quo. \n
Why Apply?
\nThis is an opportunity to join a business where finance has a genuine seat at the table.
\nYou’ll work alongside an experienced and supportive CFO, have the autonomy to implement change, develop your own team and play a key role in the continued growth of the organisation.
\nFor someone who enjoys building, improving and influencing, this role offers excellent long term career potential within a business that continues to invest in its people and future growth.
\nIf you’re looking for a Financial Controller opportunity where you can genuinely make your mark in a rapidly evolving business, then we’d love to hear from you.
\nTalent Finance is committed to creating an inclusive recruitment process and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified candidates, regardless of age, disability, gender identity, marital status, race, religion, sex or sexual orientation.
