VRF - 181583Social Care Worker - Shropshire£26,227.50 pro rata per annum37.5 Hours per week - Permanent contract20th August 2026About the roleTo provide a caring and person centred service to indiciduals with learning disabilities and associated complex needs , working flexibly as part of 7 days a week and 24 hour Care Quality Commission (CQC) Registered Service. Delivering a service under the leadership of a Registered Manager you will demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding in line with policy and procedure and empower customers, enhancing life choices and achieving outcomes.What you'll be doingDelivering a flexible and responsive service.Working in partnership with customers to co-produce support plans and key records.Delivering and high quality, sensitive and dignified personal care for customers.Competent administration of medication, recording relevant information accurately as directed.Monitoring customers' health and wellbeing, accompanying and supporting customers to their health appointments.Supporting customers with life skills, enablement and positive risk taking.Identyfying, accompanying and engaging customers to access meaningful social and cultural activitiesCompleting and maintaining accurate and detailed records that meet the requirements of the organisation and CQC.Accurately record all financial transactions in line with policies and procedures.Completing and following clear risk assessments which will include positive risk takingMaintain up to date knowledge of all customer and service recordsComplete health and safety checks and identify any health and safety concerns in a timely manner.Adhering to all CQC regulations, standards and outcomes and remain familiar with the care home inspection reports.Who we're looking for?A positive attitude around person centred approaches to working with individuals with learning disabilities and associated complex needs.A working knowledge of legislation and regulation in regards to delivering care support to vulnerable peopleExperience of working within a busy care environmentExperience of keeping accurate and compliant recordsExperience of working with Microsoft applicationsA Level 2 qualification in Health and Social CarerelevantBasic numeracy and literacy skillsExperience of working with multi agency partnershipsAn understanding of services available for people with learning disabilities or associated complex needs.Experience in facilitating service user involvement.Why join us?This is not just a ‘job' this is the feeling of knowing that you are part of something bigger and being able to go home each day with job satisfaction and pride in what is achieved by Trident Group every day.Our purpose is putting people and communities at the heart of our services and the safe homes we provide.
