Audit Semi Senior | Audit Senior - Independent Accounting Firm Hitchin (Hybrid) £30,000 - £40,000 DOE Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Hitchin with the recruitment of an Audit Semi Senior / Audit Senior This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA part-qualified professional with practice experience to join a supportive audit team. Working with a varied portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, you will take ownership of audit assignments while continuing to develop your technical skills and progress your career within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion
\n
• Prepare audit files and working papers to a high professional standard
\n
• Liaise directly with clients throughout the audit process
\n
• Identify audit risks and communicate findings to managers
\n
• Support and mentor junior team members
\n
• Ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
\n

Key Requirements

\n
• ACA or ACCA part-qualified
\n
• Minimum 3 years experience within a medium-size UK accountancy practice
\n
• Experience leading audit assignments with minimal supervision
\n
• Good understanding of UK auditing standards
\n
• Strong communication and client relationship skills
\n
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
\n
• Previous experience supervising junior staff
\n
• Knowledge CaseWare (highly beneficial)
\n
