Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager
\nLocation: WorthingSalary: £60,000 - £70,000Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-FridayType: Permanent | Site-Based
\nThe Opportunity
\nAn exciting opportunity for an experienced HSE professional to take ownership of the Health, Safety & Environmental function within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
\nThis is a key leadership role focused on driving a proactive safety culture, developing the HSE team, enhancing systems and processes, and elevating health and safety across the business. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of HSE, bringing fresh ideas, constructive challenge, and a strategic approach to continuous improvement.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Lead the HSE strategy and drive a positive safety culture across the organisation. \n
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation. \n
- Manage audits, risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions. \n
- Develop and improve HSE policies, procedures and management systems. \n
- Provide expert guidance and support to stakeholders across all business functions. \n
- Monitor HSE performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. \n
- Lead and develop the HSE team, coaching and mentoring others to reach their potential. \n

About You
\nYou will be a proactive, engaging and forward-thinking HSE professional with the ability to influence at all levels. Comfortable challenging the status quo, you will bring a solutions-focused mindset and the credibility to lead change within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
\nEssential Requirements
\n- \n
- NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma, NVQ Level 6 Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent. \n
- Grad IOSH, Cert IOSH or working towards Chartered status. \n
- Significant experience in a Health & Safety leadership role. \n
- Strong working knowledge of COSHH, RIDDOR, Fire Safety, Legionella, Asbestos and Noise regulations. \n
- Experience within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. \n
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills. \n
Desirable Experience
\n- \n
- Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Chemical, Food Manufacturing or similar regulated industry experience. \n
- GMP/cGMP environment knowledge. \n
- Experience leading cultural or organisational change initiatives. \n
- Previous people management experience. \n
