About The Company: Our client is a well-established and growing construction group with a strong reputation across Kent and the South East. Known for delivering high-quality projects and maintaining long-standing relationships with clients, the business has experienced consistent growth and continues to invest in its people, systems and future development.The Role: We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our client and take ownership of the day-to-day finance function. Working closely with the Directors and senior management team, this is a key appointment that will support the company's continued growth while ensuring robust financial controls, reporting and commercial insight across the business.Key Responsibilities:\n

  • Financial Management – Oversee the finance function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial information.
  • \n
  • Management Accounts – Produce timely monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • \n
  • Cash Flow & Forecasting – Manage cash flow, budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic decision-making.
  • \n
  • Team Leadership – Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring efficient processes and high performance.
  • \n
  • Construction Finance – Monitor project profitability, contract performance and work-in-progress reporting.
  • \n
  • Compliance & Controls – Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax obligations and internal financial controls.
  • \n
  • Business Partnering – Work closely with operational teams and Directors to provide commercial and financial insight.
  • \n
Desirable Skills:\n
    \n
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience.
  • \n
  • Previous experience within construction, contracting or a project-based environment.
  • \n
  • Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of CIS, contract accounting and work-in-progress reporting.
  • \n
  • Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
  • \n
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software/ERP systems.
  • \n
