\nKey Responsibilities as the Finance Manager
\nFinancial Reporting & Analysis
\n- \n
- Prepare monthly financial reporting schedules, including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, payroll, and benefits. \n
- Maintain robust balance sheet reconciliation processes. \n
- Manage treasury activities and cash flow forecasting. \n
- Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles. \n
- Partner with business leaders to analyse budget versus actual performance. \n
- Contribute to cost management and continuous improvement initiatives. \n
- Deliver meaningful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. \n
Payroll
\n- \n
- Manage the preparation of monthly payroll for the UK and France, liaising with external payroll providers. \n
- Oversee payroll processes for international offices. \n
- Prepare payroll and benefits journals. \n
- Maintain payroll and benefits balance sheet reconciliations. \n
- Administer UK and US retirement schemes. \n
- Provide payroll reporting and analysis to support profitability monitoring. \n
Compliance & Tax

- Prepare indirect tax returns, including VAT and GST submissions. \n
- Ensure compliance with UK Solicitors' Accounts Rules. \n
- Support treasury management activities across multiple bank accounts. \n
- Assist with the preparation of accounts for various international tax requirements. \n
- Respond to accounting, tax, regulatory, and finance-related queries \n
About You
\nThe successful candidate will bring:

- An accounting qualification (fully or part qualified). \n
- Experience working within an international and multi-currency environment. \n
- Previous exposure to legal/professional services sector \n
- Understanding of LLP accounting principles. \n
- Strong analytical and financial reporting skills. \n
- Experience with Practice Management Systems, ideally Aderant. \n
- Advanced Excel capabilities. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. \n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. \n
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines. \n
