Job Description
Driver Administrator Location: Southampton Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, with 1 in 4 Saturdays The Role We are looking for an organised and proactive Driver Administrator to support the day-to-day administration and compliance of our driver workforce at our Southampton depot. Working closely with the Transport Management team, you'll help ensure legal compliance, accurate driver records and the smooth running of daily transport operations. Key Responsibilities Support all driver administration and compliance activities. Monitor drivers' hours and tachograph records using FTA Vision. Manage infringements and arrange retraining where required. Administer driver wages and maintain accurate records. Coordinate vehicle and trailer inspections, defects and damage reporting. Support the recruitment, induction and onboarding of HGV drivers. Ensure compliance with Operator Licence requirements and transport legislation. Build strong relationships with drivers and internal departments. About You Previous experience in transport, fleet or driver administration. Good knowledge of Drivers' Hours Regulations and tachograph legislation. Strong IT and administrative skills. Excellent communication and organisational abilities. Able to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment. A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
