Job Description
Engineering @ 365 is recruiting on behalf of our client based in Leicester, we are looking for a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join their Metal Shop team. Job Description: As a Fabricator, you will play a key role within a close-knit, highly skilled, and fast-paced team, producing a range of fabrications from aluminium, mild steel, and stainless steel. Your responsibilities will predominantly include working from job sheets and drawings to fabricate bespoke metal products to a very high standard. Key Responsibilities: * Working from job sheets and drawings to produce a range of products and fabrications from aluminium, mild steel, and stainless steel * Fabrication of bespoke requirements to a very high standard * Interpreting engineering drawings and job sheets to accurately execute fabrication projects * Usage of machines such as pillar drills, circular saws, band saws, guillotines, and folders * Using a range of hand and electrical tools * Conducting checks on fabricated components to identify and rectify any defects or inconsistencies * Collaborating with the engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards * Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly * Working to strict health and safety guidelines and procedures Requirements: * A good level of experience in fabrication * Great attention to detail * Positive, can-do attitude * Strong and enthusiastic * Friendly, with a good sense of humour * Ability to deal with high pressure and demands * Able to work using own initiative * Reliable, trustworthy, and honest * Good problem-solving skills * Flexibility to work overtime as required Beneficial Skills / Knowledge: * Good knowledge/experience in fabrication of aluminium and mild steel * Understanding of the BS EN 1090-2 standard for mild steel fabrications * TIG welding experience * MIG welding experience with mild steel and aluminium * Good fettling skills * Able to read a tape measure in millimetres * Good mathematical skills * Experience welding thicknesses ranging from 3mm – 25mm
