\nAn exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Flood Risk Consultant to join a leading environmental consultancy in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced flood risk professional to work on a wide range of residential, commercial, infrastructure and mixed-use developments across the UK.
\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in delivering flood risk and drainage projects, managing client relationships and supporting the development of junior team members. You will work within a multidisciplinary environment alongside planning, environmental and engineering specialists.
The successful Senior Flood Risk Consultant will be responsible for:\n- \n
- Producing Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) for a variety of developments. \n
- Preparing Drainage Strategy Reports and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) designs. \n
- Undertaking hydraulic and hydrological assessments. \n
- Liaising with the Environment Agency, Lead Local Flood Authorities, water companies and other key stakeholders. \n
- Providing technical advice to clients throughout the planning and design process. \n
- Managing multiple projects to programme and budget. \n
- Mentoring and supporting junior consultants. \n
- Assisting with business development and maintaining strong client relationships. \n

- Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geography or a related discipline. \n
- Experience delivering Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies within a consultancy environment. \n
- Strong knowledge of UK flood risk policy and planning guidance. \n
- Experience using industry software such as MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage or Causeway Flow. \n
- Excellent report writing and communication skills. \n
- Ability to manage projects and build strong client relationships. \n
- Full UK driving licence. \n
