General Operative / Telehandler Operator – Energy Storage Exeter, Devon September 2026 Competitive CIS Rates / LTD Long-Term Contract Mint Selection are currently recruiting for a General Operative / Telehandler Operator to support the delivery of a major Energy Storage project based in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's largest energy infrastructure projects, working alongside a leading principal contractor delivering critical energy transition projects. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for supporting site operations while operating the telehandler as required. Responsibilities * Operating the telehandler to safely move materials, plant and equipment around site * Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries * Supporting site logistics and material distribution * Carrying out general labouring duties to support the construction team * Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across the site * Assisting with traffic management and site set-up where required * Supporting subcontractors and site management with day-to-day activities * Carrying out manual handling duties safely and efficiently * Following all site health & safety procedures and reporting any hazards * Working as part of the wider construction team to ensure works are completed on programme Requirements * Previous experience as a General Operative on construction, infrastructure or renewable energy projects * Valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler Ticket (Essential) * Valid CSCS Card (Essential) * Previous experience operating a telehandler on live construction sites * Good understanding of site health & safety procedures * Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team * Full UK driving licence desirable * Must be able to provide two strong, recent work references If you're an experienced General Operative with a Telehandler ticket looking to be part of a landmark energy infrastructure project, we'd like to hear from you.
