Health, Safety & Fire Trainer Central London and client sites | Hybrid Permanent £45,000 plus £5,100 car allowance Hours: Not supplied We are looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Fire Trainer to develop and deliver engaging training for a varied client audience. This is a permanent, hybrid opportunity combining home working with training delivery from a Central London office and client sites. It would suit someone who can turn detailed health, safety and fire legislation into practical, accessible guidance and confidently engage learners with different levels of knowledge and experience. You will take responsibility for delivering existing courses, developing new training content and ensuring all materials remain relevant, compliant and aligned with current standards and best practice. Alongside course delivery, you will provide practical health, safety and fire advice to clients and contribute to the continued growth of the organisation’s training services. Main responsibilities Develop, implement and lead health, safety and fire training sessions for a range of audiences. Review and update training materials to reflect legislation, recognised standards and best practice. Support the management of relevant training accreditations. Help expand training services into new industries and client markets. Provide general health, safety and fire advice to clients, responding to their particular needs and challenges. Work with internal teams to integrate strong health and safety practices into operational activity and project planning. Deliver training remotely, from the Central London office and at client sites. Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Candidate requirements You must have proven experience delivering health, safety and fire training courses, supported by strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills. You will need to be comfortable working independently as well as collaborating with colleagues and client stakeholders. Essential qualifications and experience include: Experience delivering health, safety and fire training courses. NEBOSH General Certificate. NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate or NEBOSH Fire Risk Management Certificate. A relevant teaching qualification, such as IOSH Train the Trainer, PTLLS, Level 3 Award in Education and Training or above. Technical membership of IOSH or an equivalent professional standing. The ability to explain complex legislation clearly and translate it into practical guidance. The confidence to engage and educate varied audiences.Experience creating courses, delivering online training through Microsoft Teams, delivering IOSH or NEBOSH courses, or working as a First Aid Trainer would be advantageous. Candidates without First Aid training experience should be willing to work towards this area; initial development may include the NUCO First Aid Instructors Course. The role involves regular travel to client sites, with some agreed overnight stays where required. Relevant travel and overnight expenses are supported and reimbursed.
