Section Engineer

A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Section Engineer to support the delivery of a major water infrastructure project in the East Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile scheme involving significant civil engineering works, large diameter pipe installation and complex reinforced concrete structures.Working closely with the Site Agent and Project Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of works while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

\n
• Managing engineering activities across allocated sections of the project
\n
• Supporting delivery of large diameter pipeline installations
\n
• Overseeing reinforced concrete structures and associated works
\n
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with design specifications
\n
• Producing and reviewing method statements, risk assessments and inspection test plans
\n
• Managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities
\n
• Maintaining accurate site records and as-built information
\n
• Supporting quality assurance and quality control processes
\n
• Working collaboratively with project teams to achieve programme milestones
\n

Requirements

\n
• Previous experience as a Section Engineer or Senior Engineer on major infrastructure projects
\n
• Strong background in water, utilities, heavy civil engineering or related sectors
\n
• Experience with large diameter pipework installation
\n
• Experience delivering reinforced concrete structures
\n
• Proficient with setting out equipment and engineering software
\n
• Good understanding of quality, health, safety and environmental requirements
\n
• CSCS Card
\n

Desirable

\n
• Experience working on water treatment or water infrastructure projects
\n
• Knowledge of NEC contracts
\n
• Temporary works awareness
\n
• Experience managing engineering teams or site supervision responsibilities
\n
