Legal AssistantAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Legal Assistant to join a highly regarded specialist property law firm with an outstanding reputation across Sussex. Working on a one-to-one basis with an experienced Residential Property Partner, the successful Legal Assistant will gain hands-on exposure to a varied caseload while receiving exceptional mentoring and training. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in residential conveyancing. Applications are welcomed from candidates with some previous conveyancing experience, although the firm is also keen to hear from bright graduates with a genuine interest in property law who are looking to secure their first Legal Assistant position.The RoleSupporting the Partner on a broad range of residential property transactions, your responsibilities will include:\n

- Assisting with the day-to-day management of residential conveyancing files. \n
- Opening new files and completing AML and compliance checks. \n
- Preparing client care documentation, contracts and legal correspondence. \n
- Ordering searches and assisting with Land Registry applications and SDLT submissions. \n
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and solicitors to progress transactions. \n
- Updating the case management system and maintaining accurate file records. \n
- Managing diaries, appointments and key transaction deadlines. \n
- Providing general administrative support throughout the conveyancing process. \n

- Previous experience within a conveyancing support role or be a graduate with a genuine interest in property law. \n
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. \n
- Strong communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach. \n
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn. \n

- Salary of £25,000 - £32,000, depending on experience. \n
- Direct mentoring from an experienced Residential Property Partner. \n
