About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) Fee Earner to join our expanding Industrial Disease team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional with proven NIHL experience who is looking to manage their own caseload within a supportive, specialist environment.

You will handle claimant NIHL claims from initial instruction through to settlement or litigation, delivering high-quality legal services while ensuring an exceptional client experience throughout the claims process.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of claimant NIHL claims from inception through to conclusion.
\n
• Assess liability and quantum using medical evidence, audiograms, employment records, and other supporting documentation.
\n
• Instruct and liaise with medical experts, counsel, and other third-party professionals.
\n
• Prepare legal correspondence, witness statements, court documents, and settlement agreements.
\n
• Negotiate settlements with defendants and insurers to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
\n
• Ensure compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and relevant Pre-Action Protocols.
\n
• Maintain accurate case records and proactively manage key deadlines.
\n
• Provide regular updates and deliver an outstanding level of client care throughout each case.
\n

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience managing claimant Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) claims.
\n
• A strong understanding of industrial disease litigation and the NIHL claims process.
\n
• Experience handling your own pre-litigated and/or litigated caseload.
\n
• Confidence interpreting medical and audiological evidence.
\n
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and client care skills.
\n
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
\n
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach to case management.
\n
