Finance Manager

The Opportunity

Reed Finance are partnering with a growing SME who are looking for a Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day finance function and support the continued growth of the business.

This is a hands-on role with responsibility for financial reporting, cash flow management, budgeting, compliance, and business partnering. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll provide the financial insight and control needed to drive performance and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small finance function.
\n
• Manage month-end processes, journals, reconciliations and management reporting.
\n
• Produce P&L, cash flow, project costing and profitability analysis.
\n
• Partner with operational teams to improve financial performance and decision-making.
\n
• Oversee VAT, CIS, HMRC and statutory reporting requirements.
\n
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.
\n
• Support year-end accounts, corporation tax and external advisors.
\n
• Drive process improvements and financial system enhancements, including system implementation.
\n
• Ensure robust financial controls and compliance across the business.

About You

\n
• Previous experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar senior finance role.
\n
• ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualified or qualified by experience.
\n
• Strong financial reporting, management accounting and commercial finance skills.
\n
• Experience using Sage, Xero or similar finance systems.
\n
• Advanced Excel skills.
\n
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
\n
• Commercially focused, proactive and hands-on approach.
\n
