A highly regarded Legal 500 firm in Berkshire is seeking an experienced Court of Protection Partner with a Clinical Negligence focus to join its established and growing private client and litigation offering. This is a key strategic hire, offering the opportunity to lead and develop a specialist practice within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.

The Role
\n From a recruitment perspective, this is a senior leadership position with a strong clinical negligence and Court of Protection crossover, including:

\n
• Leading complex Court of Protection matters, including deputyship applications and ongoing administration
\n
• Managing high-value cases involving clients with catastrophic injuries and significant medical needs
\n
• Advising on financial management, care packages, and long-term support for vulnerable clients
\n
• Working closely with clinical negligence and personal injury teams to support clients post-settlement
\n
• Supervising and developing a team of solicitors and support staff
\n
• Driving business development and building relationships with referrers, including medical professionals and case managers
\n
• Contributing to the strategic direction and growth of the department
\n

About You

\n
• Experienced Solicitor at Partner level (or Senior Associate ready to step up)
\n
• Strong background in Court of Protection work, ideally with clinical negligence or serious injury exposure
\n
• Proven ability to manage complex, high-value matters
\n
• Demonstrable business development skills and ability to build relationships
\n
• Leadership experience or clear potential to lead and grow a team
\n
• Commercially minded, empathetic, and client-focused
\n
