Location: Rochester
Shift times: Monday to Friday, 10pm start
Pay Rate: £17.66 per hour
\n We are recruiting for a Class 2 Driver on a temp to perm basis to join our client's busy transport operation in Rochester. This role involves night-time multidrop deliveries of car parts to dealerships and automotive customers across designated routes, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
\n Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding & Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.
Key Responsibilities

\n
• Complete night-time multidrop deliveries of car parts to dealerships and automotive customers.
\n
• Carry out an average of 12-14 deliveries per day within similar postcode areas.
\n
• Operate your vehicle safely and in line with company and legal requirements.
\n
• Use a pallet truck to unload pallets when a customer forklift operator is unavailable.
\n
• Use handheld scanners and complete delivery paperwork accurately.
\n
• Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance and roadworthiness.
\n
• Deliver excellent customer service at all delivery locations.
\n

Requirements

\n
• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
\n
• Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
\n
• Newly qualified drivers welcome if they show the right attitude and potential
\n
• No more than 6 penalty points and no DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements.
\n
• Good knowledge of the UK road network.
\n
• ADR qualification is preferred but not essential.
\n
• Reliable, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
\n
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy delivery schedule.
\n
