Rate: Up to £22 per hour

Contract: Temporary (2 Months)

You'll be joining a leading support organisation dedicated to helping individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse make positive changes to their lives. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in supporting service users through their treatment and recovery journey while helping to create healthier and safer communities. Your new roleAs a Recovery Coordinator, you will manage a caseload of service users from initial assessment through to recovery planning and ongoing support. You will coordinate access to treatment, promote harm reduction, and work closely with healthcare professionals and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.

Key duties include:

    \n
  • Completing assessments, recovery plans and reviews.
  • \n
  • Managing a caseload and acting as the main point of contact for service users.
  • \n
  • Conducting risk assessments and implementing risk management plans.
  • \n
  • Coordinating referrals to treatment and community support services.
  • \n
  • Working closely with health professionals, GPs, hospitals and partner agencies.
  • \n
  • Providing harm reduction advice and supporting overdose prevention initiatives.
  • \n
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting data in a timely manner.
  • \n
  • Supporting service users to build independence and achieve long-term recovery goals.
  • \n

What you'll need to succeed

Essential

\n
    \n
  • Experience working within substance misuse, drug and alcohol services, mental health, criminal justice, housing support, social care or a related field.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of drug and alcohol issues.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to work effectively with a range of professionals and agencies.
  • \n
  • Strong organisational and caseload management skills.
  • \n
  • Good IT skills and experience maintaining accurate records.
  • \n
  • Experience working in an outcomes-focused environment.
  • \n
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality and diversity.
  • \n
\n

Desirable

  • Previous experience with drug and alcohol recovery services.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of mental health interventions and support services.
  • \n
  • Experience carrying out risk assessments and recovery planning.
  • \n
  • Experience working with vulnerable or hard-to-reach client groups.
  • \n
