Location: Bardon, Leicestershire (with travel to other sites as required)Pay Rate: £17.00 per hourContract: Temporary ongoing Hours: Full-time, including 1 in 3 weekends

We are currently recruiting for a Waste Management Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operation of Waste Transfer Station and Waste Haulage activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor who can lead teams, maintain operational standards, and ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently and compliantly.

What We're Looking For

• Previous supervisory or team leader experience.
\n
• Administration skills, including rota planning, scheduling, email management and filing.
\n
• Experience using Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Excel.
\n
• Logical thinker with good problem-solving abilities.
\n
• Excellent attention to detail.
\n
• Strong communication and people management skills.
\n
• Ability to work effectively in a busy operational environment.
\n
• Full UK driving licence and own transport is essential.
\n
• Flexibility to work 1 in 3 weekends.
\n

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Supervise the daily operation of the Waste Transfer Station and Waste Haulage service.
\n
• Manage and support a team of Specialist HGV Drivers and Waste Management Operatives.
\n
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental and legal requirements.
\n
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders.
\n
• Monitor vehicle compliance, tachograph requirements and operational standards.
\n
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
\n
• Manage fuel usage and produce operational reports.
\n
• Maintain accurate training, compliance and safety records.
\n
• Identify and implement improvements to operational efficiency and service delivery.
\n

• Base location is Bardon, however the successful candidate may be required to oversee and support operations at other sites when required.
\n
