We are looking for a motivated Shift Manager to join a leading manufacturer. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the shop floor during your assigned shift. You will lead a team of production employees, ensuring targets are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency

Role Description:

• Lead by example, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace is maintained at all times
\n
• Achieve the required company quality standards ensuring both internal and external customer satisfaction
\n
• Ensuring that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are monitored and targets achieved
\n
• Liaise and coordinate with support functions to progress issues concerning production planning and resource/skill allocation to ensure delivery of products to schedule within all relevant quality specifications
\n
• Communicate with the teams by utilising the visual management, delivering shift briefs with focus on quality, cost and delivery, and gathering ideas for improvement
\n
• Undertake performance management responsibility for team members, conducting appraisals and giving direction to aid good performance
\n
• Ensure safe working practices are maintained, and 'Standard Operations' adhered to
\n
• Ensure that non-conformance is challenged and countermeasures are agreed and implemented
\n
• Lead and motivate the team to create a high-performance culture where improvement suggestions are embraced
\n
• Strive to exceed the Company targets in productivity, efficiency and quality on a continuous basis
\n
• Report and act upon plant or machinery breakdowns to maintenance technicians
\n
• Ensure housekeeping is kept to a high standard
\n

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous Leadership Experience - 3 to 5 years
\n
• Previous Manufacturing Experience - 3 to 5 years
\n
